link a HyperTab song file to an mp3

After you purchase a HyperTab song file, if you have an mp3 of the original recording, you can tell HyperTab to link to it, so you can hear the original recording while you watch.

HyperTab remembers the location of the mp3 file on your computer, so whenever you open that HyperTab song file in the future, the corresponding mp3 file will automatically be opened at the same time.

Follow the instructions below to link a HyperTab song file to an mp3.

How to link to mp3

If this is the first time you've opened the file on this computer, you'll be asked if you want to link to mp3. Click "yes" and go to step 4 below.

(If you don't have the mp3 yet, click "no". Come back here later after you get one and continue to step 3 below.)

step 1 If it's not the first time you've opened the file on this computer, you won't get a dialog box. You'll need to go to the File menu and choose "Link to mp3". dialog box image
step 1 HyperTab asks you to locate the mp3 file on your computer. When you've found it, select it and click "open". dialog box image

HyperTab scans the file to determine synchronization. This takes about 10 or 15 seconds.

Finished! Whenever you open this HyperTab file in the future, the mp3 file will automatically be opened at the same time.
